Introduction to Latin for students with no background in ancient languages. Basic Latin grammar and vocabulary; explanation of the structural principles that make ancient languages different from English.

Introduction to ancient Greek. There is no formal prerequisite, but students are advised to have a knowledge of the grammatical principles of ancient languages equivalent to that given in LCL 1101-1102.
