History in the making, for 60 years!

Whether it’s shared, shaped, discovered or interpreted, History attracts and divides us. At the University of Ottawa, many have passionately delved into the past, for the past 60 years!

Come listen to this panel discussion featuring alumni and celebrate with us!

Since 1957, the Department of History has brilliantly fulfilled the mission of the University of Ottawa by being at the crossroads of cultures, languages, generations and perspectives.

You’re invited to a public panel discussion featuring alumni, followed by a cocktail reception where you can mingle with those who have played a role in shaping the Department of History for the past 60 years: students, professors, alumni, partners and friends of the Faculty of Arts.

Panel members:

Jeannine Ritchot, Executive Director, Regulatory Cooperation, Regulatory Affairs Sector, Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat

Suzanne Beauvais, Assistant Curator, Canada Science and Technology Museum

Christian Brideau, Whip's Assistant, NDP

Celebrate the past in two buildings that have contributed to the Department’s own history, namely the Alex Trebek Alumni Hall and Desmarais Hall.
