Advanced communications technologies have been a staple of journalism for generations. Yet innovations in this field are accelerating now at an unprecedented pace, transforming how news is gathered, packaged and disseminated. Join Daniel Bouchard, one of our region's most illustrious broadcast journalists, as he shares his penetrating insights into how advances in communications technology influence how journalists cover events, how they refine technological innovations to suit their needs and how rapid changes in communications technologies are shaping the news you see and hear.

Les pratiques journalistiques ont beaucoup évolué au cours des dernières années. En fait, à l'heure d'Internet, de la mondialisation de l'information, de la convergence, des progrès technologiques et du journalisme citoyen, les médias vivent une véritable métamorphose.

Dans ce monde ou la concurrence est de plus en plus féroce, le journaliste a les outils nécessaires pour en faire toujours plus, toujours plus rapidement. Mais comment cela se traduit-il dans le quotidien du journaliste? Quelles sont ses contraintes? Et quel est l'avenir du journalisme?

À l'emploi de Radio-Canada depuis 1986, Daniel Bouchard entend témoigner, à même ses expériences, de l'évolution du journalisme au cours du dernier quart de siècle. En plus de faire un retour sur les principales innovations technologiques qui ont contribué à changer la façon de couvrir les événements, monsieur Bouchard abordera les défis auxquels sont confrontés les journalistes d'aujourd'hui.
