1. Eligibility
Members of the Association of Part-Time Professors of the University
of Ottawa (APTPUO).
2. Selection Criteria
Excellence in teaching, participation in research, and the
candidate's contribution to university life will be taken into account
as selection criteria.
3. Value of the Award
The Award consists of a $2,000 honorarium and a photo portrait,
which will be conferred during the special lecture given by the recipient.
The award winner will also be recognized at the Fall Convocation.
4. Nominations
- Except for members of the Selection Committee, any member
of the University community may nominate a candidate.
- The nominator must include a letter outlining the candidate's
exceptional contributions to university teaching.
5. Selection
Each departmental chair submits one nomination to the dean
of his or her faculty.
The candidate's file should contain the following documents:
- a letter of recommendation from the chair of the candidate's
department of school;
- a letter of recommendation from the dean;
- one or more letters of recommendation from
students;
- teaching evaluations from the last two years
of teaching at the University of Ottawa
- any other relevant documents.
The dean of each faculty then submits the nomination to the
APTPUO Selection Committee.
6. Deadline
Nominations must be submitted to the APTPUO no later than
APRIL 15th 2011.
