Honesty and integrity in the workplace
Nurturing an ethical culture and climate
The University of Ottawa has always been committed to high standards of honesty and integrity.
It aims to practice and foster good governance by nurturing an organizational culture that values ethical conduct. Developing an ethical culture is expected of all organizations today and has become essential to sustaining trust.
The University of Ottawa is counting on the members of its community to join in building and cultivating a climate that encourages ethical behaviour in all university activities.
To that end, it is implementing the Policy on Fraud and Safe Disclosure to help promote integrity, accountability, and the highest standards of honesty.
Policy on Fraud and Safe Disclosure
The University of Ottawa is committed to protecting its funds, property, information, and other various assets from theft, fraud, misappropriation or other violations.
The Policy on Fraud and Safe Disclosure (Policy 92) is administered by the Office of the Vice-President, Governance. It sets the principles and responsibilities for the prevention, detection, and disclosure of wrongdoing. It also establishes the processes for any investigations that could result from the disclosure of wrongdoing, and for any ensuing disciplinary actions. Policy link
