FAQ - Security Access for FAST-Only Users
This FAQ applies to users who only have access to FAST. If you are a Banner user but you have questions about your access to FAST, please refer to this FAQ.

How do I access FAST for the first time?
If you are a FAST (only) user, you will need to follow these steps:
- Click here (you can also access the page by clicking on the “Fusion/ERP Systems Login” link on the left navigation menu of the Fusion/ERP website).
- Select the “FAST” link.
- Your user name is your employee number preceded by “E” (e.g. E12345).
- Your password is the same password you use to access InfoWeb, however all letters must be capitalized.
What if I have not received my user I.D. and password?
Information on your user I.D. should have already been provided to you. If you have not received these instructions, you will need to call the Computing Help Centre at extension 6555.
Do I need to renew my FAST password?
If you are a FAST only user, there is no need to renew your password.
What do I do if I forget my FAST password?
If you forget your password, you will need to have it reset by calling the Computing Help Centre at extension 6555.
Can I modify my FAST password?
You can modify your password through the password management system which is available in InfoWeb.
Is there an expiration date on my FAST password?
If you are a FAST only user, there is no need to renew your password.
Can I access FAST any time of the day?
No. The system is unavailable every morning from 1 A.M. to 3 A.M. as a scheduled data back up is being performed.
How do I create a desktop icon to quickly access Banner?
You can follow these steps.

You can use the uOttawa VPN Client if you are working from home. This software ensures a secure way to access the University’s wireless network. You can download the VPN Client by clicking here.
