Should I attend training for the HR System?
To have access to the HR System you have to submit a Request for access to HR/Pay System form and complete the section 3 - User roles. You then have to take the course corresponding to the selected roles.

How do I register?
Registration can be done online. Select the courses from the workshop list in alphabetical order.
New HR Concepts:
The objective of this theoretical course is to transmit new concepts that must be understood to adequately use the new pay and human resources management system. We will review, amongst other things:
- Details of the pyramidal structure (employee class, position class, single positions vs. pooled positions)
- Definition of date fields, FTE (full-time equivalent), etc.
- Changes to business processes
- Changes to remuneration forms
- Required approvals and internal controls
The course will end with a discussion about the changes affecting the entire employee population and how you can help with the transition.
Departmental Time Entry for Casual Employees
The objective of this course is to demonstrate how to create and pay casual employees. Through practical exercises, you will learn how to assign an employee number to a new casual employee, enter banking information, enter the information required to pay an employee, assign the employee a pooled position and enter their time worked for each pay period.
HR Reporting and Data Interpretation
This course will show you how to use the new Web report production tool and will familiarize you with querying tools that are available in the HR reporting system. We will look at the various types of reports that are available. Through practical exercises, you will learn the multiple ways to query data, interpret results and perform various types of analyses.
UOttawa Hiring Management System - APTPUO
The Hiring Management System includes several components. The first component is an introduction to the posting of positions for the members of the APTPUO. You will also learn how to use the applications, reports and offers modules.
TP Forms - Payroll form for part-time professors (APTPUO)
The course objective is to teach users how to complete the TP form. This form is used to pay part-time professors (APTPUO). The course is mandatory for all those that create TP forms for their faculty/departement.
