This year, consider making your New Year’s resolutions four months early! The action picks up all over the campus in September, and Sports Services is no exception.
If you’d like to start or continue with a physical activity program, your first step is to go to Montpetit Hall September 9, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for the Sports Services Open House. It’s the ideal time and place to meet Sports Services representatives and learn more about both free and paid programs for the University community.
Your next step is register online or in person for the Campus Rec program of your choice. Registration takes place from September 8 to 17, on a first come, first served basis!
Sports Services also offers many free courses and activities over the session. Whether it’s basketball, soccer, leisure or lane swim periods, squash or much more, there’s something for everyone. All the information you need is on our website.
Employee hockey league
Check this out: There’s still time to register for the University employee hockey league. This year, the league has eight teams. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
September 6 and 7, the football and women’s rugby teams play their respective home openers. Your Gee-Gees interuniversity teams need your support throughout 2015–2016, and especially at the start of the season!
The Sports Services team urges you to stay active and wishes you a great start to the new school year!
