On October 27, 2015, a breakfast and a silent auction were held to launch the United Way campaign, which will run until December 4. Guests were invited to bid on a series of items, including lunch with the President, a one-year uOttawa Sports Services membership and tickets to see the Ottawa 67’s play.
Last year, the University’s United Way campaign raised $309,420, of which $22,072 was earmarked for the Student Aid Fund, which is dedicated to helping the most vulnerable members of our University community.
This year’s campaign aims to raise $315,000 through a wide variety of activities across campus, including two United Way benefit events that will take place at noon, and again at 7 p.m., on November 18. These activities will concur with Wellness Week and will showcase the undiscovered talents of our employees and students.
This year, the United Way campaign has teamed up with HealthPartners to offer one more option for those who wish to donate to health-related causes.
Thanks in advance for your support to the University of Ottawa’s United Way campaign!
