The University of Ottawa Health Services is a dynamic group of physicians, allied health care professionals, and support staff dedicated to improving the health of our student population and inner city community through a patient centered interdisciplinary team approach focused on prevention, early intervention programs and several specialized chronic disease programs.
We have implemented an urgent care (walk-in) clinic with regular hours of Monday to Friday 8:00 am to
8:00 pm and we are currently looking for a full-time or part-time independent and dynamic with strong
clinical skills Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
The Nurse Practitioner will provide a full range of healthcare services to patients within the primary health care NP’s scope of practice.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation from an approved Nurse Practitioner university education program for the specified specialty certificate
- Current membership with the College of Nurses of Ontario – Registered Nurse Extended Class (EC)
- Member of the Nurse Practitioners Association of Ontario is preferred
- Two to three (2 - 3) year clinical nursing experience, as Nurse Practitioner
- Fluency in French and English
- Effective organizational skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills (both written and oral), and facilitation skills
