University of Ottawa Health Services – Health Promotion

The University of Ottawa Health Services (UOHS) provides urgent care as well as general and specialized health services to students and to the community at four locations on or near campus.

The UOHS Health Promotion Resource Centre is located at UCU 203.  Students can visit our offices to speak with staff, browse the multi-media library, or read up on a number of health topics.

Peer Educator Program

There are currently over 60 University of Ottawa students working as Team Leaders (TL) and Peer Educators (PE) with Health Promotion’s Peer Education Program

Our seven health teams educate students and advocate for optimal health on campus through speed learning quizzes, residence presentations, special events such as Café Gratitude, ICDW, Happy Hour @ Rez, campus fairs and information booths outside UCU203 and at various locations on campus.

Health Promotion is  looking for new recruits for the 2012-2013 academic year.  If you are a team player looking to engage with fellow students, and you have strong communication, research and writing skills, apply to become a Health Promotion Team Leader or Peer Educator!
