University of Ottawa receives $7.4 M in research funding from the Government of Canada
OTTAWA, April 9, 2010 — The University of Ottawa was awarded a total of $7.4 million in support of research as part of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council’s (NSERC) Discovery Grant Program – a five-year national funding initiative totalling $472 million. The grants, 52 in all for the University of Ottawa, will support promising researchers at the master’s, doctoral and postdoctoral levels who are pursuing innovative research in areas such as computer science, environmental sciences, life sciences and engineering.
