Fourteen students among selected candidates to participate in international francophonie internships

OTTAWA, May 19, 2010  —  The University of Ottawa is proud to announce that fourteen of its students were selected for the Programme conjoint de stages internationaux en Francophonie du Sud, an international internship program organized by the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and the Association des universités de la Francophonie canadienne (AUFC). The Programme conjoint de stages internationaux en Francophonie du Sud allows university students from minority francophone communities to do an internship in a francophone country in Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, the Middle East, the Indian Ocean and Central and Eastern Europe. The goal of the program is to encourage activities at francophone universities to be more international in scope and to inspire universities and their students to help build North-South solidarity. This internship is an integral part of each participant’s education, and each student will receive credits for their participation. [external link, in French only]
