OTTAWA, October 5, 2010  —  The University of Ottawa is pleased to invite you to the launch of Sofia Andreevna Tolstaya’s My Life, an intimate and honest portrait of one of the greatest literary minds of all time, Leo Tolstoy, and the most important primary document about him to be published in decades. My Life will be published, for the first time ever, by the University of Ottawa Press (UOP).

Nearly 150 years after the publication of War and Peace, Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy continues to be regarded as one of the most accomplished writers of all time. But until now, little attention has been paid to the person closest to him: his wife, Sofia Andreevna Tolstaya.
