OTTAWA, October 27, 2010  —  The University of Ottawa invites you to a panel and roundtable discussion titled Afghanistan: The Millennium Issue. The debate is the first on the program at this year’s annual Canadian-Asian Studies Association (CASA) Conference hosted by the University of Ottawa and which will address a range of topics surrounding Canada’s role in Afghanistan in the coming years. His Excellency Jawed Ludin, Afghanistan’s ambassador to Canada, will be the keynote speaker for the event.

WHAT: Panel and roundtable discussion on Canada’s future role in Afghanistan

WHEN: October 28, 2010, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

And will they even be necessary for the emergence of Afghanistan as a peaceful state? Opinions still differ.

- Andrew Potter, journalist, Maclean’s Magazine
