OTTAWA, February 1, 2011  —  New Ontario Universities’ Application Centre (OUAC) figures show that the number of students selecting the University of Ottawa as their first admission choice has jumped.

According to the Centre, this figure has increased by 7.5% to 4860 students in 2011. The number of students making the University of Ottawa their second or third choice has also increased significantly, by 8.8% and 8.3%, respectively.

“These results clearly reflect our excellence and increased ability to make our success known to others. Students from across Canada recognize the quality of our university and want to be among our outstanding graduates,” says President Allan Rock.
