Errol Mendes, professor at the Faculty of Law (Common Law Section), will give a lecture titled “Peace and Justice at the International Criminal Court, A Court of Law Resort” before launching his book of the same title. The Telfer School of Management, in collaboration with the Indo Canada Ottawa Business Chamber, the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation, presents the 2011 Telfer India Forum. This half-day event involving senior business and government leaders from Canada and India is designed to help Canadian companies assess their readiness to tackle the evolving and strategic market in India. Symposium: The Past, Present and Future of Section 7 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms
The Honourable Frank Iacobucci, former Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, and the Honourable Roy McMurtry, former Chief Justice of Ontario

The Faculty of Law, in collaboration with the Ottawa Law Review, presents a one-day English-language symposium focusing on past, present and future interpretations of Section 7 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The keynote address will be delivered by former Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, the Honourable Frank Iacobucci. A presentation on the drafting of Section 7 of the Charter will be given by former Chief Justice of Ontario, the Honourable Roy McMurtry. The Human Rights Research and Education Centre, in collaboration with the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law and the Centre for Environmental Law and Global Sustainability, present back-to-back English-language lectures.
