MEDIA ADVISORY: University of Ottawa announces opening of new French Lounge

OTTAWA, March 14, 2011  —  The University of Ottawa is pleased to announce the official opening of its new francophone space. This lounge will serve as a hub of francophone social and cultural life for students. Vice President, Resources Victor Simon will lead the official inauguration of this new space, which will allow the francophone university community to access different resources in French, to meet and participate in French-language activities and to obtain information regarding francophone community organizations in the region.

The opening of the French Lounge will take place during the launch of the fourth Semaine de la francophonie at the University of Ottawa. This year’s theme is “The Many Faces and Flavours of French.” It seeks to highlight the diversity of the Francophonie.
