uOttawa Celebrates 30 Years of CO-OP Education
OTTAWA, March 21, 2011 — As part of Co-operative Education Week, which runs from March 20-26, the University of Ottawa is proud to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its CO-OP program.
Throughout the year, the University has highlighted its achievements and successes in co-operative education by organizing activities putting the spotlight on both students and employers.
This evening at 7 p.m., a forum which took place at the University of Ottawa featuring both current and former CO-OP students will be broadcast on Radio-Canada’s Première Chaîne. The event looks at life in the public service.
On Wednesday, March 23, a reception will be held to mark Co-operative Education Week as well as the end of the CO-OP program’s 30th anniversary. Winners of the CO-OP Student and Employer of the Year awards for 2010, as well as the new CO-OP Student Volunteer Award, will be announced. Mathieu Fleury, city councillor for Rideau-Vanier, be in attendance and will speak on Co-operative Education Week. For more information, visit the CO-OP program website.
