University of Ottawa student recognized for sustainability research
OTTAWA, March 31, 2011 — University of Ottawa environmental science student Dalal Hanna has been selected as one of five students across Canada to receive the ECO Canada Student Ambassador Award for outstanding research on sustainable development.
The 23 year old received a $1000 prize, as well as the opportunity to present her research on the impact of anthropogenic noise on red-winged blackbird signals during the 2011 AMERICANA conference in Montreal. The conference boasted some of the world’s foremost experts and professionals in the environmental industry.
