Three OCRI awards for the University of Ottawa
OTTAWA,
April 13, 2011 —
The University of Ottawa is pleased to announce that the work of three members of its community was recognized during the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation Awards gala.
Dr. Benjamin Tsang of the departments of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Cellular and Molecular Medicine, and the Ottawa Health Research Institute, won the Research Award in recognition of his work in the area of diagnosis and treatment of female infertility, ovarian cancer and pregnancy complications.
Rouhollah Alizadeh, PhD graduate from the Department of Civil Engineering, was named Student Researcher of the Year, in recognition of his ground-breaking research work in the area of cement and concrete technology.
Finally, Hubert (Haoyang) Duan from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics received the Ottawa’s Co-op Student of the Year Award.
