OTTAWA, May 10, 2011  —  This is to respond to the emails sent to many students on the negotiations between the University of Ottawa and the Association of Part-time Professors of the University of Ottawa (APTPUO). The parties are still at the negotiation table, and negotiations are ongoing.

The University of Ottawa does not foresee any interruption in academic activities. It has never considered imposing a lockout.

We believe that the parties will reach an agreement to renew their collective agreement, as has recently been the case with other unionized University employees.
