All-staff TEST: Emergency Notification System (ENS)

OTTAWA, August 10, 2011  —  The University of Ottawa has recently acquired a high-performance emergency notification system meant to provide an efficient and reliable notification process for all University of Ottawa community members.

In order to ensure the reliability of the system and to raise awareness of the importance of this new system within the uOttawa community, the University will be conducting various tests over the coming months.

An all-staff test has been scheduled for Wednesday, August 17, between 11 a.m. and noon. It will involve email and screen alerts, as well as the use of the uOttawa Emergency Banner and Darksite on uOttawa web pages. If possible, we ask that you remain at your desk throughout the test.

If you have technical difficulties downloading the software, please contact your IT representative or call extension 6555.

Please note that even if you are not present for the test, we still recommend that you install the software to receive alerts in the event of an emergency.

Thank you!
