Back to class: welcome home uOttawa students!

OTTAWA, September 2, 2011  —  Back-to-school excitement is in the air! In just a few short days, more than 38,000 students will flow onto campus and begin their journey into the 2011-2012 academic year. Before classes, homework and extracurricular activities get underway, join us for an event-filled week to kick-off your next round of studies!

The Student Academic Success Service (SASS), the Community Life Service and our campus student associations have joined forces to celebrate this special occasion.

If you’re a new student, you’ll be welcomed by teams of current uOttawa students, who will also take you on a guided tour of the campus: an excellent way to get to know your new home and discover the plethora of activities, facilities and services the University has to offer. You’ll also get extra help to settle into residence! Finally, come and cheer on our Gee-Gees varsity teams and soak up the enjoyable atmosphere by joining in all the festivities.

So, get ready for a week filled with discovery, energy and fun – from September 3 to 10!
