Research Information:
My research involves program and training evaluation. Currently I am completing research on the impact of communication skills training program on young men in addiction recovery and another study on the experience of recovery in post-secondary education. I am interested in the experiences of vulnerable populations and much of my work connects research with community organizations serving those in need. My research focuses on evaluating the impacts of a range of programs, including student support services, addiction recovery programs, family support programs, mentoring programs, training programs and leadership development programs. I am particularly interested in the role of support services in the academic success and engagement of vulnerable populations, including at-risk students, recovering addicts and students suffering from mental illness. I am also interested in the role of interpersonal relations and social capital in the learning process, in student engagement and in addiction recovery, and am generally interested in interpersonal and organizational communication.Areas of Expertise:
