I research and write on the intersections between international criminal law and refugee law. A particular focus is use of the exclusion provision, which denies refugee status to individuals who are accused of committing criminal acts in their countries of origin.

Colonel Me Drapeau provides expert commentary in English or French on strategic, security,defence and military affairs. He also has expertise in the access to information and privacy domains. He is the co-author of three legal texts: 1. Canadian Military Law Annotated, 2006, Carswell 2. Federal Access to Information and Privacy Legislation. Annotated, 2008, Carswell 3. Privacy Protection in the Canadian Private Sector and Health Sector, 2007, Carswell. Colonel Me Drapeau lectures at the Faculty of Law (Common Law) in Canadian Military Law as well as in Access to Information and Privacy. He also lectures at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Administrative Law.
