INTERSCIENTIA is an initiative that arose from conversations between academics of Argentinean origin, having in common being fellows of the Royal Society of Canada and interested in maintaining a link with colleagues in Latin America. Fostering academic relationships was thought to be the most effective way to realize the mutual goal of advancing the different scientific disciplines as well as the framework needed to conduct such activity. There seems to be no reason to restrict relationships between particular groups and therefore, neither the contributors' nationality nor the contents or the composicion of the Editorial Board is restricted in any way. INTERSCIENTIA therefore, while initiated by scientist of Argentinean origin, is for all to contribute and benefit from. INTERSCIENTIA is a non-governmental, non-aligned, non-profit effort with the sole purpose of fostering academic relations. The non-sectarian, wide nature of this publication is reflected in the quotation of Tommaso D'Aquino's words contained in the front page motto: Timeo Hominem Unius Libri : I am affraid of men that have learnt from a single book.

INTERSCIENTIA surge de conversaciones entre académicos argentinos quienes tienen en común el ser miembros de la Real Academia de Canadá y estan interesados en mantener una relación con colegas en America Latina. El fomentar conexiones académicas se consideró la mejor manera de contribuir al mutuo avance en las diferentes disciplinas de las ciencias y de sus estructuras . Esta publicación no está restringida a ningún grupo nacional por lo que este proyecto está abierto a todo los académicos que deseen contribuir a esta iniciativa y beneficiarse de ella. INTERSCIENTIA se produce sin fines de lucro, es independiente de todo gobierno, no tiene lineamientos políticos y su único objetivo es el de fomentar relaciones académicas. La naturaleza amplia y no sectaria de esta publicación es reflejada por el lema de la portada que es una cita de la palabras de Tommaso D'Aquino: Timeo Hominem Unius Libri: Temo a los hombres que han aprendido de un solo libro.
