CPR

The CPR level C recertification courses are now available. You can register for a course on the following link: cpr-schdedule2012

The CPR requirements vary depending on your program of study.  To see if CPR is a requirement, refer to the Deadlines.

CPR Level C is valid for one year. Certifications that are older than one year before the start of the academic year are not valid.  The day/month/year that the training was taken must be provided to the Clinical Placement Management Team (contact details given at the CPRM page).

Training must be given by an organization recognized by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Consult the City of Ottawa - First Aid and CPR Courses website for a course schedule:  http://ottawa.ca/en/health_safety/emergency/firstaid/courses/index.html

Students who will be participating in clinical placements and have a “cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)” requirement for their program of study must submit proof of their CPR certification to the Clinical Placement Risk Management team.

For questions, you can contact rboushe2@uottawa.ca or 613-562-5800 ext 3391 or for students in Pembroke at klawitl@algonquincollege.com or 613-735-4700 ext 2748.
