Summer Career Placements Program 2001

This program is designed to assist youth in summer employment by providing for our region, a $3.40/hour wage contribution to employers who create incremental jobs for students.  The Principal Investigator is responsible for covering the balance of the student’s wage to at least $6.85/hour (minimum wage).

The wage contribution is offered for a minimum of 6 weeks to a maximum of 10 consecutive weeks.

Applications are available to Professors, Faculties and Services who intend to hire students over the year 2001 summer months and would like to apply for funding assistance. However, should the Professor’s primary appointment be at one of the hospitals affiliated with the University of Ottawa, the application must be submitted through the Research Institute at the affiliated hospital.

Please forward 1 ORIGINAL + 3 COPIES of each completed application with a duly signed RE/c form to Research Services, Tabaret Hall, Room 160, for approval no later than Friday, March 23, 2001.  Research Services must submit the applications to Human Resources Development Canada by March 27, 2001.
