Visitor cards: Discover the uOttawa card!
Visitors and University employees can have the same benefits students enjoy with their uOttawa cards. If you are visiting or you are an employee of the University, the Discover uOttawa card can be very handy for you.
Where can I get one?
There are two ways to get a Discover uOttawa card :
- In person, at uOttawa Card Service;
- At any cash to card dispensers on campus :
- Morisset Library (first floor)
- Fauteux Hall (fourth floor library)
- Lamoureux Hall (second floor library)
- Colonel By Hall (basement)
- Desmarais Building (Room 2129)
- SITE (near the photocopiers)
- Roger Guindon Hall (library)
Where can I use it?
The Discover uOttawa card can be used at a variety of locations on campus, consult the locations that accept the Discover uOttawa card.
How do I register my card?
To register your card, go to the visitor login section at the top right corner of this page. Enter your card number (you can reveal your PIN by scratching the PIN area on the back of the card). Once you've logged on, you can change your PIN, add funds and protect your funds if your card is lost or stolen. Keep your card number in a safe place, so you can cancel it if you lose it.
We strongly recommend that you personalize your card by changing the PIN to a number only you will remember. This will prevent anyone accessing your transaction details if your card is lost or stolen.
How do I add funds to my card?
You can add funds online, at cash to card loaders or in person.

Online
Funds can be added at any time, day or night, by logging on as a visitor at the top of this web page. With the secure website, you can add funds using Visa, MasterCard or Interac (BMO - Bank of Montréal, TD Canada Trust - Toronto Dominion, RBC - Royal Bank of Canada and ScotiaBank).

Cash to card loaders
Funds can be added at any cash to card loader on campus. The cash to card loaders accept $5, $10 and $20 dollar bills.

In person
Bring your Discover uOttawa card to the uOttawa Card Service to deposit funds on it. You can use cash, Visa, MasterCard, certified cheques or a money order. Cheques should be made payable to the uOttawa Card Service. The minimum cash deposit is $5; we only accept $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 coins or bills. Sorry, but we do not accept deposits of less than $1. Non-cash deposits are a minimum of $25.
