Contest details
- Meal plans must be purchased before January 27, 2013.
- Meal plans must be purchased online or in person at the uOttawa Card Service.
- The meal plan must be paid for in full.
- There will be one winner drawn from all winter meal plans sold.
- Only winter meal plans for the 2013 academic year are eligible.
- The winner will be drawn on January 27, 2013.
- The winner will be notified via his or her uOttawa email account.
- The amount will be deposited into the winner’s account on the day of the draw and cannot be exchanged, transferred or reimbursed.
- Odds of winning depend on the number of plans sold.
- The winner’s name will be published on the uOttawa Card Service web page.

The uOttawa card: The key to your meal plan
When you purchase a meal plan, funds are added directly onto your uOttawa card, which can be used as a debit card!
There are currently 21 dining locations that accept meal plans onc campus. Each plan offers a minimum amount for tax-exempt meals and a flex portion for all other purchases. Whether you live in residence or commute to campus, there’s a meal plan for you!
There's a variety of meal plans to satisfy your needs. Students can benefit from a wide range of dining options, from fresh and healthy home-style meals to franchise favourites. You can find information on meal plans, including which meal plan is best for you, on this section of our website.

- No bank charges with the uOttawa card - many locations charge Interac fees.

Benefits of your flex plan
- Flex funds can be used at all locations that accept the uOttawa card.
- In general, students spend approximately $500 in books every year. The uOttawa Bookstore accepts the uOttawa card and during peak periods, there’s an express lane for those using their uOttawa card.
- Most courses require students to purchase a course pack sold at the docUcentre. The uOttawa card is accepted as payment at the docUcentre, and during peak periods, there’s an express lane just for those using their uOttawa card.
- Flex funds automatically carry over from one year to the next and do not have an expiry date. As long as your uOttawa card is valid, you have access to your flex funds.
- There are no fees when using your uOttawa card.
