Webforms: Downloaded results gives an empty file (0kb)

When downloading the submission results of a webform, the exported file may at times be corrupted, giving an empty file. This appears to be a known issue with multi-server setups, as is the University's case; see Webform issue: Excel and CSV export randomly empty for details.

Reproducing the issue

  1. Download the webform's results (the results should export fine the very first time).
  2. Immediately click on the download button again (the second download should corrupt).
  3. Visit the download page by clicking on the link and try downloading again (subsequent downloads will either be corrupted or work correctly).


No solution currently exists.
