The University of Ottawa introduces TOPAZ Elements Software Solutions for:

The University of Ottawa is proud to announce the purchase of a brand new software suite from TOPAZ Technologies. The TOPAZ Elements product will improve the Animal Care experience by facilitating all aspects of animal and protocol management through the provision of several integrated modules.
The TOPAZ Elements product will also allow the University of Ottawa to harmonize business processes, manage and communicate relevant real-time data across sites, and provide the University of Ottawa with a world-class user friendly, rich internet software solution to manage animal husbandry, veterinary management, and animal welfare across multiple sites while mitigating compliance risk.
The Compliance Suite provides Animal Welfare and Staff Training solutions to reduce the burden of paperwork while mitigating compliance risk. The Operations Suite provides animal procurement, husbandry and billing solutions to manage facilities and track costs. Finally, the Management Suite provides task management solutions for Veterinary, Facility and Colony Management needs. TOPAZ Technologies allows institutions to turn the focus from managing data and compliance to advancing research.
Implementation planning begins the week of October 24th, 2011. We will be providing regular feedback regarding the process as we fully test and implement the product. The University of Ottawa’s Animal Care and Veterinary Service is very excited about this new project and appreciate the support throughout this implementation period.
