Alain Jolicoeur is Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors at the University of Ottawa.
Mr. Jolicoeur is an international consultant. He has been appointed member of the National Energy Board in 2016. In the last few years, he has been Chair of the RCMP Audit Committee, Chair of the Canadian Space Agency Audit Committee, Vice Chair of the World Customs Organization, Independent Chair of the RCMP Pay Council and on the Board of Directors of the Institute on Governance.
Mr. Jolicoeur is the former Deputy Minister and President of the Canada Boarder Service Agency and former Chair of the Audit Committee of the World Customs Organization. He possesses more than 30 year’s experience as an executive in the public service, including senior appointments as Deputy Minister of the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs, Deputy Commissioner of the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency, Associate Deputy Minister of National Revenue, and Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat
Mr. Jolicoeur holds a Masters degree in international law and Customs Administration from Canberra University and is a graduate of Université Laval in physics engineering, and of Université du Québec in Montreal in meteorology. He holds the Institute of Corporate Directors Certification.
