Fields of Interest

  • Study of functional and structural (remodeling) changes in eloquent brain (motor and sensory cortex) after traumatic and surgery induced brain injury (MRI and animal models)
  • Signaling pathways of vascular remodeling in cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage and in aging
  • Vascular remodeling mechanisms in the pathogenesis of cerebral microvascular disease (CMVD animal models)
  • Neurovascular unit remodeling mechanisms during stroke recovery
