Jakov Shlik is Associate Professor of the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Ottawa and clinician/researcher with the Stress and Anxiety Research Unit of the UOIMHR. Since 2003 he serves as Clinical Director of the Anxiety Disorders Program. Prior to that Dr. Shlik has held research and faculty positions at the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Tartu in Estonia. He has completed PhD dissertation in 1999 on the psychophysiological effects of cholecystokinin in humans. His current research interests focus on psychobiology and treatment of complex anxiety disorders. He is a fellow of the International and Canadian Colleges of Neuropsychopharmacology.
