Spending most of my time looking at brains and studying their vulnerability to executive dysfunction, I am now passionate about improving these deficits. Mindfulness, cognitive training, being drug free and exercise are avenues that I have been researching. If we can provide youth with healthy skills to create an optimized brain then I believe we can help future generations limit the mental health problems that we are observing today in unprecedented numbers. Healthy brains mean happy people.

Research Interests:

I use brain imaging, mostly fMRI, to understand executive dysfunction in many vulnerable populations. Understanding the impact of cannabis on the developing brain, investigating how chemotherapy affects memory, studying if mindfulness can improve cognition and well-being, exploring why some patients with head injuries have difficulty recovering, are some of the topics I am passionate about researching.
