International Games Week

Study Hard. Game Harder!

Connect with other gamers in this years’ International Games Week happening from the 4th until the 8th of November. Discover fun and innovate games including board games, virtual games and lots more. Join us for all things games this week. All events are free and there are prizes to be won at particular gaming events.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Nintendo Switch)

Every day from November 4 to 8, variable hours depending on location
CRX 220, Carrefour franchophone, Residences

CRX 220 (4th -6th: 5:30 p.m - 8 p.m., 8th: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.), Carrefour francophone (everyday from 10 a.m. -  2 p.m.)

Dominate and fight your way to victory. Happening at various locations on campus. Winners of each match will qualify for a draw at the end of the week. Come have fun!

Beat Saber

November 4, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., CRX 220

Ready, Set, Go! Slash the beats of adrenaline-pumping music as they fly towards you, surrounded by a futuristic world in this virtual reality game.

Large Twister Game

November 6, 12 p.m. - 1 p.m., UCU Agora

Can you be the last one standing? Challenge yourself to this fun physical activity. Winner will walk away with a Monopoly Ottawa board game. No registration required.


November 7, 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., CRX 220

Show that you know your craft. Defeat other players in creativity and combat!

Introduction to D & D

November 7, 7 p.m., 90U Wellness Centre(Room 151)

Learn to create your own character and dive in the wild universe of Dungeons & Dragons ! Animation by the Wargaming and Roleplaying Society. (English only)

Game Jam

November 8th at 4 pm until November 9th at 7 pm

Atrium of Fauteux Hall (Nov. 8th) and CRX230 (Nov. 9th)

The first Game Jam: A Gamified Look at Law!

Each team participating in the Game Jam will have 24 hours (give or take 3 seconds) to create a game related to the proposed legal theme. The theme will be presented on the day of the event (common, there needs to be some suspense). Your objective? Use your creativity and discover new ways of representing and sharing concepts within the legal universe.

No mission is complete without the promise of treasure. Beyond the rich satisfaction of expressing your creative side, a grant will be offered to the winning team!
