Note: We recommend that undergraduate and part-time students (except those in medicine, education or law) complete at least 24 units before applying for uOGlobal recognition or enrolling in the two-year program option. 

Step 1: Enroll in GLO 49011 (fall) and GLO 49012 (winter) through uoZone during the course enrolment period.  

Step 2: Pay the enrolment incidental fees: $53 for the Fall term and $53 for the Winter term. 

Important:  Incidental fees are refundable only if you withdraw from the GLO courses by the deadline for withdrawal with refund. 

The GLO courses count as elective or additional courses in your program. The workload for each course is equal to that of a 1.5-unit course per term.  

Undergraduates earn three units by passing both courses.  Students must also write a final report about their uOGlobal experience.

Thanks to Power Corporation of Canada, these scholarships, ranging from $2,000 to $10,000, are available exclusively to students currently enrolled in uOGlobal or who have their uOGlobal recognition certificate going abroad within the scope of a uOttawa program or other initiative. The scholarships provide you with funds to support your international learning projects (such as exchanges, CO-OP placements, field research, volunteer work through the Career Development and Experiential Learning and Career Development, etc.).

Application periods: 

• Fall international placements: August 15 to September 30. 

• Winter international placements: October 1 to November 30. 

• Spring-summer international placements: February 1 to March 30. 

These scholarships offer access for all learners to an inclusive uOGlobal experience. Generously sponsored by Chartwells, 20 scholarships are offered per term to students who demonstrate financial need so they can enroll in uOGlobal. The scholarships offer you a refund for the incidental or administrative fees.

CO-OP Scholarships 

The CO-OP office  subsidizes 50% of the cost of enrolment in the uOGlobal recognition program for a limited number of CO-OP students. 

Faculty of Engineering Scholarships 

As a student of the Faculty of Engineering, you can apply for one of 60 international experience annual scholarships for activities abroad such as study and CO-OP terms, research internships or other research activities.
