Biography
David Runnalls is a Senior Fellow and Steering Committee member at the Institute of the Environment's Smart Prosperity Institute, and a Visiting Professor at uOttawa.
David has served as Co-Chair of the China Council Task Force on WTO and Environment. He was also the Leopold Fellow at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies; member of the federal External Advisory Committee on Smart Regulation (EACSR); Chair of the Adjudication Panel for the ALCAN Prize for Sustainability; Senior Advisor to the President of the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) in Ottawa, Canada, and to the Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme. In 2020, David was named an Officer of the Order of Canada, in recognition of his lifelong leadership in advancing sustainable development in Canada and globally.
