Applying to Undergraduate Combined Programs

The Faculty of Law Common Law Section is pleased to offer two undergraduate pathway programs in collaboration with the Faculty of Social Science and Telfer School of Management.

JD and Honours Bachelor of Social Science (Specialization in Political Science)

Students in this combined program complete the requirements of the two programs in six years and receive two separate degrees, an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences in Political Science (with possible French immersion) and a Juris Doctor. Transfer to the Faculty of Law’s French Common Law Program is guaranteed to students who maintain a grade point average (GPA) of 8.0 after the second year of study (60 credits earned) in the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Admission is facilitated at the undergraduate admissions, not by the Faculty of Law. Unlike our other programs, applications to the JD/SocSci are submitted through the Ontario University Application Center (“OUAC”).  You will not need to use the Ontario Law School Application Service (“OLSAS”).

This program is offered only in French. The French immersion stream is available with the BSocSci portion of this program.
