BMI Poster and Seminar Day

BMI Seminar day will be held on Thursday, February 22 and Poster Day on Friday, February 23, 2024. Attendance is mandatory for all students enrolled in BCH or MIC.
  • You will either be required to present a poster or seminar during the event. When you are not presenting, you will be evaluating other students. (Only students who receive their permission to write and submit the form by January 26, 2024, will be exempt from participating.)
  • An email will be sent during the winter term to confirm your exact role and schedule.

All presenters must submit the title and abstract of their presentation to the Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies Office by January 26, 2026.

You will be evaluated based on the following information; make sure to include it in your presentation:

  • Background information and a rationale for the work
  • A clear hypotheses and objectives
  • The main experimental approaches
  • The most important findings and interpretations
  • An analysis of results with conclusions that relate back to the objectives

You will also be evaluated on your ability to describe your work and the overall appearance of your presentation.

Your presentation should be 10 minutes plus an additional 5 minutes of questions, for a total of maximum 15 minutes in length.
