The University of Ottawa continues to be among the top 2% of universities in the world, according to the most recent QS World University Rankings, released on June 8, 2017. The rankings measure various university features, including teaching, research and reputation.

The University is now ranked 289th overall in the QS Rankings, up two positions. Research performance continues to be uOttawa’s greatest strength. In the citations per faculty indicator (20% of the total score), the University ranks 129th worldwide, up 33 places over the previous year and seventh in Canada, among the best in the country.

A few weeks ago, uOttawa made the top 150 worldwide ranking for research publications, according to the CWTS Leiden Ranking 2017, highlighting the far reach and profound scientific impact of the research undertaken by uOttawa students and professors.
