Altitude offers a variety of events and workshops which help hone particular skill sets, such as communication, teaching, and writing. These free workshops allow students to not only improve their academic success, but also to gain an extensive understanding of the job market. MyGradSkills provides a series of self-paced, online modules aimed at providing information about #gradproskills ranging from topics like teaching & learning, to career development, to community engagement, to entrepreneurship, and much more. These 18 modules were created by the Ontario Consortium for Graduate Professional Skills and is the result of a collaboration between many Ontario Universities. That’s just the start so visit

Centre for University Teaching

The Centre for University Teaching (CUT) in collaboration with the Office of the Vice-Provost, Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies offers the following courses in university teaching to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows:

ESG 5300 – Theory and Practice of Undergraduate Teaching (in English) - Usually offered over the Fall term 

ESG 6100 - Technology and University Teaching (in English) - Online course

ESG 8300 – Practicum in University Teaching - Usually offered over the Fall and Winter terms
