The University of Ottawa Health Services is proud to have Dr. Megan Lelli, Psychiatrist, specializing in Early Childhood Mental Health.

What to Expect

Dr. Lelli sees families with young children, ages 0-5 years (up until the child’s 6th birthday), with concerns around social-emotional development, including but not limited to the following issues:

  • Bonding and attachment
  • Feeding/eating difficulties
  • Sleep problems
  • Toileting difficulties
  • Challenging behaviours
  • Separation anxiety
  • Selective mutism
  • Trauma

Megan Lelli, M.D., FRCP (C)

 

Dr. Megan Lelli

After completing the psychiatry residency program at the University of Ottawa, Dr. Lelli spent an additional 7 months training in child and adolescent psychiatry with a focus infant and early childhood mental health.  She has recently returned from British Columbia where she worked for 2 years in the Early Childhood Mental Health Program at Richmond Hospital, Richmond, BC.

How to Access

Children are most commonly referred by their family physician or pediatrician, however perinatal psychiatrists, obstetricians, and others are also welcome to refer when there is concern for the developing parent-child relationship.  Referral can be made by completing the Early Childhood Mental Health Referral form, a PDF fillable form, accessed at http://www.uottawa.ca/health/forms.  Please fax to 613-564-6627.
