What do residence staff do?
Employees working in residence are responsible for creating a safe community in which residents of all origins and orientations thrive while they embark on their academic and personal development.
Residence Life staff members help create a sense of belonging & community connection, organize events, and facilitate mediation & conflict resolution discussions with residents.
Employees working in client services ensure the safety of facilities, answer questions from current and future residents as well as guests, and help residents based on their needs.
Why should I apply?
Employees in residence are instrumental in enhancing the experience of approximately 4,200 residents. They also play a key role in the reputation of the University of Ottawa residences. Whether it is by being the face of the institution while working at the front desk or by supporting residents, employees are an integral part of a large and beautiful residence community.
As a residence staff, you will develop employability skills such as leadership, effective communication, critical thinking, time & priority management, problem-solving skills, and adaptability.
