How do I self-declare?
In order to self-declare, you may indicate your Indigenous identity in your OUAC application. This also applies to Indigenous students applying for the alternative admission options in Law, Medicine, Education, and Nursing. Once you have self-declared, you will be sent information about programs and services that are especially designed for Indigenous students.
You may also self-identify once you arrive at uOttawa, as you will receive an email inviting you to register with Mashkawazìwogamig: Indigenous Resource Centre. This will place you on an email list to receive information about scholarships and bursaries, activities on campus and in Ottawa, updates, and pertinent information.
Please feel free to drop in to the IRC for more information, the office is located at 1 Stewart on campus, or send an email to arc-cra@uOttawa.ca.
