My card doesn’t work

Reasons why your card may not work

  • Your card is damaged or cracked
  • You replaced your card and are using a previous version (which has been deactivated)
  • Your card has expired
  • Your card has been deactivated
  • Your card was not activated correctly
  • You do not have a sufficient balance

If your uOttawa card doesn’t work, you will need to go to the uOttawa Card Service during regular business hours because this is the only way we can properly determine what is potentially wrong with your card. Please note that if you card has been damaged; you will be required to pay a $25 administration fee to obtain a new card.

  • View your balance
  • Add funds
  • Deactivate your card
