How to buy a meal plan
Residence: 2020-2021 Mandatory Meal Plan
Using the Housing portal only
- Students living in residences with a mandatory meal plan have to choose either the 5-day or 7-day meal plan during the Housing application process. Its cost will be automatically added onto your residence fees which you will pay through your student account. The meal plan fee is split in two terms (fall and winter).
- On August 28, 2020 your meal plan will automatically be activated and added to your uOttawa card.
Residence: 2020-2021 Optional Meal Plan
Using the Housing portal
- Students in residences with an optional meal plan may choose to purchase the 5-day or 7-day meal plan during the Housing application process. If you select a meal plan, it's cost will be added onto your residence fees which you will pay through your student account.
- If you purchase your meal plan when applying for residence, your meal plan will automatically be activated and added to your uOttawa card on August 28 2020.
Online
- Starting August 1, meal plans can be purchased online using Visa, Mastercard and Interac online (BMO, TD Canada Trust, RBC and ScotiaBank).
- Once logged in (as a student or parent), select the meal plan tab to purchase a meal plan.
In person
- Meal plans must be paid in full, either by Visa, Mastercard, Interac, certified cheque or cash.
- Certified cheques or money orders must be made payable to “uOttawa Card Service”.
- Purchase must be in Canadian funds.
Students living off-campus 2020-2021
Online
