Uploading images and files

Prior to uploading a file, please take the following into consideration:

  1. Images:
    1. Make sure to crop and resize the image to the right dimensions before uploading it to the web.
    2. Make sure to have a descriptive alternative text prepared prior to uploading the image. The alternative text will be read out loud to users using screen readers.
  2. Documents:
    1. Ask yourself first if the document is really necessary. Can it be converted into a web page instead?
    2. Make sure that any PDF, Word Document or other type of document meets the accessibility requirements set out by the Accessibility Hub.
